Liturgical Dance at God's Vision Christian Church

Liturgical Dance is an expression of worship through body movements.  It may be an interpretation of scripture, words to a song, or a response to instrumental music.  Liturgical dance is for the whole body of Christ, inclusive of all, regardless of gifting, talent or age.

Liturgical dance is not meant to be a  production; but instead, a way of physically manifesting God’s message.  Some dances are choreographed, while others may be prophetic, in which we allow the Holy Spirit to guide our movements.  Either way, it is a powerful tool in bringing healing, restoration and reconciliation to the lives of others, while also being an avenue through which we can express our joy in the healing He has brought us.  Most importantly, true biblical dancing draws us closer to God as we touch the heart of God.

It has been the desire of the Heavenly Father right from the beginning that we all walk, run and dance in freedom.  Although, recently popular in many churches, there are accounts of dancing in the Old Testament.  An example is the episode when King David danced before the Ark of the Covenant.

Currently at God's Vision Christian Church, there are two adult women and three teens who are involved in liturgical dance.  We welcome anyone who loves God and would like to openly and passionately worship in dance to join us.  May the "Lord of the Dance" richly bless you with the freedom and abandonment He has called all His children to.
